Fulda Karaazmak

Hi, I am Fulda Karaazmak.I was born in 1990, in Germany.I had lived there for seven years.When I was seven years old and began primary school, I came to Turkey with my family.My father is retired.I have four elder-sisters.One of my sisters graduated from 9 Eylül University and she is an english teacher in İzmir now.Although everybody thinks that I have inspired from my sister to choose this job,that is not the real situation.Actually I can say that from whom I have inspired for choosing this job is my secondary school english teacher.He encouraged me very much.Thanks to him, I decided to choose this job and I am here now.My other three sisters are living in Germany.They are working in different areas in that country.They come to Turkey to visit us every summer.After I came to Turkey, I went to primary and secondary school in Edirne,Uzunköprü.When I went to high school, I was firstly

Teacher Training High School of Tekirdağ.Then I changed my school and passed to Teacher Training High School of Edirne.At first, it was a bit demanding to change school but time to time I got accustomed to it.This is my fifth year in dormitory.During my whole high school life,I stayed in dormitory.So for me it was not so hard to get used to living in dormitory in universty.But I'm absulately sure that I don't like living in dormitory.Being together with my friends is so enjoyable of course,but living in home is more comfortable.

This is my first year in METU.Before I came here,I wasn't expecting many things from university because I know that we are living in Turkey!So I'm not disappointed now. I think being in university is a kind of freedom.Of course we came here for various goals or at least to be an english teacher.But university mustn't be only this.It can be more useful to the students from many other aspects,social clubs,sports activity ect.I think that METU is a really good university from these aspects also.With all its negatives and pozitives I can say that I'm happy to be here.

When I came to my opinions about this course,I was a bit confused in first lesson.I learned that we would use internet in our lessons.I wasn't expecting this kind of writing course.So it was suprising for me.Also in first semestre we didn't do these kinds of things.It was a normal reading course.I think this one will be more difficult and also more enjoyable for us with these various activities.Every week we are going to do homework.I think this will be very hard for us.We didn't do any writing exercise in first semestre so we will have difficulties.Even so, I'm sure that we will all enjoy.

Finally I wish all my friends an enjoyable semestre...
